There is so much choice available nowadays from regional airports and low cost operators that we prefer to give you maximum flexibility of travel options at the most competitive prices.
UK Flight Departures to Austria and Budapest 2007-8
Some operators such as Thomsonfly, Ryanair, EasyJet and Sky Europe offer low cost flight options to Austria and Budapest.
Examples - At the time of writing a return flight from Luton to Vienna cost currently around £53.00 including taxes and charges. A return flight from Gatwick to Budapest cost around £60.00 including taxes and charges.
Direct flight options are shown below, but some may not operate all year round. Connecting flights are also available to Salzburg, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest from most UK airports.
To Salzburg (for Bad Ischl)
Direct flights from Dublin, London Gatwick, London Stansted, and Manchester.
Charter flights from Newcastle may also be available. Connecting flights are available from most UK regional airports.
To Linz (for Bad Ischl)
Direct flights from London Stansted.
To Vienna (For Baden and Vienna)
Direct flights from Dublin, London Heathrow, London Luton and London Stansted. Connecting flights are also available from most UK regional airports.
To Bratislava (For Baden and Vienna)
Bratislava airport is approximately 40 miles from Vienna and 55 Miles from Baden.
Direct flights into Bratislava operate from Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, East Midlands, London Stansted and Manchester.
Alternatively, you could fly to Salzburg or Linz and then take the train to Vienna or Baden. Austrian trains are a real pleasure to use as they are fast, efficient, comfortable and clean. Some carriages have compartments, and there is an efficient trolley service for hot and cold refreshments. Connection from Salzburg airport to the railway station is also quick and easy.
To Budapest
Direct flights from Cork, Dublin, Glasgow (Prestwick), London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, London Stansted, and Manchester. Connecting flights are also available from most UK regional airports.
If you prefer not to fly then why not consider travelling by rail? European services are fast, clean and efficient. Why not stop over (in Paris, for example), to break the journey and extend your holiday?
