Vienna State Opera Schonbrunn Palace Golden Hall, Musikverein
Vienna is a city of romance, history, culture, art and of course music. Wander along mediaeval alleyways or across imperial squares. Visit the amazing Palace of Schonbrunn or the Imperial State Apartments in the Hofburg. Browse elegant shops or relax in a Viennese coffee house or a traditional wine tavern. Stroll around one of the many parks and gardens or visit one of the fascinating street markets. There are numerous museums and art galleries to visit. A tour of St Stephen's Cathedral and a performance by the elegant Lipizzaner horses of the Spanish Riding School should not be missed.
Most importantly of all, Vienna is the Capital City of Music. Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss and Schubert all lived in Vienna. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the top orchestras in the world. The Orchestra recruits its musicians from the Vienna State Opera Orchestra.
Visit the Golden Hall in the Musikverein, venue for the fabulous New Years Day concert that is broadcast around the world. Take a tour around the magnificent Vienna State Opera House, including the backstage area. There are concerts every day, music is everywhere! The Vienna Volksoper is the Viennese home of Operetta. Imagine a performance by Strauss, Kalman or Lehar accompanied by a 60 piece orchestra - an enthralling and unforgettable experience!

Our very special Vienna Opera Breaks are as flexible as you want them to be. You can visit whenever you want and stay for as long as you wish (although there are no performances at the State Opera and the Volksoper in July and August). We recommend a stay of 3 nights or more to allow you to enjoy at least one performance. We will book your tickets for the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Volksoper or other concerts or performances of your choice (subject to availability).

Our hotels are selected for their central and convenient location as well as their high standards of quality and comfort. Whilst we do not accompany our guests on Vienna breaks, we do of course make all the necessary arrangements and are available to assist if required during the stay. It is very easy to get around on foot as well as by bus, tram, underground or taxi.
Our package includes the following:
- All guests met at your arrival Airport or Railway Station (depending on your choice of travel to Austria) and driven, in comfort, by private transport to your hotel.
- Accommodation in one of our specially selected 4 Star hotels for 2 nights or more including full buffet breakfast.
- Tickets to one performance at the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Volksoper or another venue of your choice.
(The holiday price shown below is based on mid category tickets. If you would prefer a different category just let us know).
- Information in English for your chosen Opera or Operetta performances.(Most performances also have subtitles / surtitles available in English).
- Private transfer to your departure Airport or Railway Station for your return journey home.

Price for 2 nights is from around £315.00* per person to include one performance at The Volksoper, or from around £345.00** per person to include one performance at the Vienna State Opera.
Additional performances can be booked if desired.

It is also possible to visit the Lakeside Operetta Festival at Morbisch combined with a short break in Vienna. Return transport to Morbisch included. Dates available throughout July and August 2008.
